Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2019 – UPSC

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2019. On the basis of the result of the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2019, candidates will be selected for recruitment to total 106 posts of Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines and Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources. The appointments will be made on Temporary basis initially. Specification:

• Age: Minimum 21 years and below 32 years (below 35 years for Junior Hydrogeologist (Scientist B)) as on 01/01/2019
• Start Date: Starting Date of Online Application: 20/03/2019 Closing Date of Online Application: 16/04/2019
• Fees: Candidates must pay Rs. 200/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). See released advertisement for more details. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST/ PWD/FEMALE CANDIDATES.

• Process (How To): Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) — https://www.upsc.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 20/03/2019 to 16/04/2019. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
• Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test. The examination will be commencing from 28th June, 2019. The examination will be held at various centres across India. For more details see the Official Advt.
